Figure 3 The effect of reducing the flux through PEPCK.  Addition of a reaction product  of PEPCK, PEP or inhibition of the enzyme with the specific inhibitor 3-mercaptopicolinic acid increase epileptform bursting (A and B respetively)  The increase was to 215 +/- 32 % for PEP (n= 9), and 208 +/-28% for 3-MCP (n=7).
